Mumbai : The Ministry of Home Affairs has released funds to help the states. Maharashtra has received Rs 1492 crore from the funds released today. Among the 14 states that have received assistance in this allocation of funds, Maharashtra has received the most assistance.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for this.
1492 crore package for the farmers of the state
The central government today announced financial and logistical assistance to states affected by floods and landslides. The Chief Minister said that once again it has been proved that when Maharashtra asks for something from the Central Government, it gets it immediately. Home Minister Shah today announced a package of 1492 crores for the farmers of the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi always refers to farmers as food givers. The Chief Minister said that by announcing special help during natural calamities, he has shown that he is with the farmers and the state in any crisis.

Maharashtra is followed by Andhra Pradesh: 1036 crore, Assam: 716 crore, Bihar: 655.60 crore, Gujarat: 600 crore, Himachal Pradesh: 189.20 crore, Kerala: 145.60 crore, Manipur: 50 crore, Mizoram: 21.60 crore, Nagaland: 19.20 crore, Sikkim. : 23.60 crores, Telangana: 416.80 crores, Tripura: 25 crores and West Bengal: 468 crores. Apart from financial assistance, the Central Government has provided logistical support to all the affected states including deployment of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams, Army teams and Air Force support. The government is actively working to mitigate the impact of floods and landslides through financial and logistical support, with further assistance planned based on ongoing assessments.
Meanwhile, there were heavy rains in various parts of the state. Due to this, the rivers were flooded in many places. Due to this, life in many places was disrupted. Also, standing crops of farmers were also lost due to flood in many places. Because of this, the farmers were hit financially. Therefore, it was demanded that the farmers get help from the central government as well as the state. Finally, the Center has given a fund of Rs 1492 crore to Maharashtra.
