Ratnagiri : Chief Additional Director General (ADG) Coast Guard Commander (West Coast) KR Suresh, President Coast Guard Medalist, Coast Guard Medalist visited the Indian Coast Guard Office at Ratnagiri on 12 January 24 and reviewed the progress of the ongoing infrastructure development works.
These development works, if completed, will be a milestone in enhancing maritime security initiatives.
Flag Officer Additional Director General (ADG) KR Suresh, Ratap, Tapa is the head of the entire West Coast of the country and has the entire coastal area from Gujarat to Kerala state under his jurisdiction. Ratnagiri is a very important center in this area and various development works are progressing here.
During this visit, he personally visited the ongoing ATC facility, hangar and dispersal works at the airport at Ratnagiri. He stressed on the timely completion of these works so as to further strengthen the coastal security system of the Indian Coast Guard.
On this occasion the Flag Officer also interacted with the Coast Guard personnel and emphasized on the personal involvement of all in the overall development of the service. He inspired everyone by sharing his long service experience. He also carried out aerial surveillance of the proposed ship repair center i.e. shipyard in Bhagwati Bandar area of ββFort in Ratnagiri by a Coast Guard aircraft.
