Kankavali, 19th: On Sunday, the Kankavli police launched a crackdown on people drinking in public places. The action session started later in the evening. In this, the police opened the door to the drunkards sitting in the areas of Mudeshwar Maidan, Nath Pai Nagar, Ganpati Sana etc. Alcoholics make the area unhygienic while drinking in public places. Many times liquor bottles are also broken and glass is scattered everywhere. This action session was implemented for this reason. Although no punitive action or case was registered in this, the drunkards were given strict understanding. Police Sub-Inspector Rajendra Gadekar, Police Naik Manoj Gurav, Rajesh Patil and others participated in the operation.
