A young man who was coming to the village on the occasion of Ganeshotsav died after falling from the train between Ratnagiri and Aravali. The incident took place on Saturday around 12 noon. The name of this young man is Atmaram Sharad Sawant (age 30, resident of Munge, Sawantwadi). The incident took place while traveling by Mangalore Express from Mumbai to Kankavali. Due to this incident, there is a feeling of anger in the village. More information about this, Atmaram Sawant, a young man from Munge-Savantwadi, has been living in Mumbai-Jogeshwari for the past seven years and was working as a driver in a private vehicle in Mumbai. On the occasion of Ganeshotsav, he was coming to Kankavli from Mumbai by Mangalore Express early on Saturday (15th). He died on the spot when he fell down from the train during the Ratnagiri-Aravali journey. On getting the information about the incident, the local railway police rushed to the spot and inspected it. And the body was handed over to the family. Due to the death of Atmaram, there is grief in Munge village.
