Malvan; Leading News Service: Navy Day is being celebrated on Monday by the Indian Navy with the motto 'Jalmev Yasya, Balmev Tasya'. This year's Navy Day will be celebrated away from its base for the first time near Sindhudurg Fort, the flagship of the Indian Navy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present as the chief guest for this event. On this occasion, the Indian Navy will showcase its prowess and capabilities by demonstrating its comprehensive operational capabilities. Navy's flagship program will be held near Tarkarli MTDC. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present for this event. Union Minister Narayan Rane, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Guardian Minister Ravindra Chavan along with central and state ministers and senior officials will be present. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R. Hari Kumar will welcome the Prime Minister.
Shiva statue unveiled by Prime Minister Modi
The statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj erected by the Navy at Rajkot Fort will be unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After that, Narendra Modi will attend the Navy Day program at Tarkarli. The deadliest Marcos commandos of the Indian Navy will jump to the ground with the help of a parachute from an aircraft from a height of eight thousand feet. One of these major commandos will present Narendra Modi with an Indian Navy memento as a gift when he lands. After this there will be speeches by dignitaries. Prime Minister will address the audience after the naval exercise.
