The main occupation of the residents of Rajivada, Bhatye, Karla, Phansop etc. villages in the Bhatye Bay area is fishing. Mandvi Port is the only way for fishermen here to go to sea for fishing. Due to accumulation of sand in this port, this route has become dangerous for fishermen. Due to this, there have been many cases of fishermen drowning due to boat accidents.
