This selection has been made on the recommendation of Minister Deepak Kesarkar. Raja Gawkar has also received the letter from Maharashtra Government Planning Department.
Rajendra Upendra Gawkar alias Raja Gawkar is known as a common personality among the masses. As the name suggests, this leadership is a kingly man. He had his primary education at Kudal. He completed his college education at Sindhudurg College, Malvan. After that, he worked with various soft drink companies in Malvan taluka and Sindhudurg district in marketing field. Through the acquaintance made in Malvan taluka and Sindhudurg district on the occasion of this business, and with the interest of working in the social sector, he entered politics. He started his political career through the Nationalist Congress Party. Kai He made his debut in politics along with Deepak Mayekar as Malvan City Ward 1 Inspector and successfully carried out his responsibilities in the party organization. Further, under the leadership of Deepakbhai Kesarkar, with his blessings and under the guidance of Nitin Valke, Raja Gaonkar successfully completed his tenure as Malvan Nationalist Taluka President for five years. According to party president Sharad Chandraji Pawar, under the guidance of minister Ajitdada Pawar, he promoted various development works in the taluk in compliance with the party's mission policies. He was also considered close to then Minister Uday Samant and Minister Bhaskar Jadhav.
After that he joined the Shiv Sena party due to some controversies in politics. But due to the injustice done by the party in the 2014 Malvan Municipality elections, he was separated from politics for five years.
Meanwhile, he accepted the membership of Maharashtra Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Architecture. Worked there.
Shiv Sena joined the party under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde a year ago. He became active in politics under the guidance of Minister Uday Samant and Minister Deepak Kesarkar. He was appointed as Shiv Sena Malvan Taluka Pramukh. Raja Gawkar has been selected as a special invitee member of Sindhudurg District Planning Committee on the recommendation of Minister Deepakbhai Kesarkar in recognition of his work in the political and social fields.
