In the preliminary round of the 51st Inter-Departmental Drama Competition of Maharashtra State Transport Corporation, Ratnagiri Division's drama Kinara won the first prize for Best Direction, Best Acting and Best Screenplay, Theatre.
The first round of Maharashtra State Transport Corporation Inter-Departmental Drama Competition was held for the first time in Vengurle N.P. It was held at Vengurle Camp in 1947. Playwright Madhusudan Kalelkar Multipurpose Auditorium.
At Vengurle Centre, four plays of four sections namely Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara were staged. Among these, Ratnagiri Division's play Kinara written by Jayant Dalvi won the first place.
The preliminary rounds of the State Transport Corporation Games were held at different five centers in the state. The final of the number one play selected from all the five centers will be held in Nanded soon. www.konkantoday.com
