The boat belongs to Ranjana Padwal, a fisherman from Anjanvel Bhoiwadi. Darya Raja number IND/MH 4 MM-4883 was fishing using gillnet method. The fire incident occurred on Tuesday. It was found that the boat caught fire due to a short circuit. The cabin and interior of the boat were completely damaged.
Licensing officer of the Fisheries Department, Swapnil Chavan and other officials were present to conduct the Panchnama of the fire. Boat owner Ranjana Padwal has given a statement to the Assistant Fisheries Department, Ratnagiri to immediately compensate the damage caused to this boat.
