Cyclists skidded and stopped due to digging of new track for work in Kalyan

The newly constructed cycle track under the Smart City Mission had to be dug up due to poor planning by KDMC officials. Locals are disappointed as the move has disrupted their access to a separate cycle track. The construction of the track was almost complete even before it was dug due to the installation of pipelines. Before the construction of the cycle track, the responsibility of laying the pipes was on the contractor. After discovering the excavation, KDMC directed the contractor to repair the cycle track.
