Refinery to be built at proposed site: Narayan Rane

Rajapur, Leader News Service : The proposed Ratnagiri refinery project will give a new dimension to the development of Konkan. The Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Industries Narayan Rane has given assurance to the Coordinating Committee supporting the Refinery Project that this project will be done at the proposed site of the refinery in Rajapur taluka itself.

We will meet the Union Petroleum Minister next week regarding this project. After that, in the month of January in Rajapur, the Central Industries Department and the State Government will hold a joint meeting of the Industrial Department and present the position of the project to the public. Rane gave this time.

The office bearers of the Refinery Project Supporter Coordination Committee on Friday no. Met Rane at Udyog Bhavan in New Delhi. no Rane himself organized this meeting. On this occasion, he reviewed the developments so far regarding the proposed refinery project from the committee. Maharashtra State Industries Minister Uday Samant was also contacted during the meeting and discussed about the developments of this proposed project. In accordance with this project, the information about the overall proceedings of the Maharashtra Government was learned.

He said that he will meet the Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri next week in order to implement this project as soon as possible. Explaining the central position regarding the proposed refinery project at Rajapur, he assured that a joint meeting of the Union Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Industries of the Maharashtra Government will be held in Rajapur in January. In this meeting, the current status of the refinery project will be explained. Rane said.
On this occasion Chairman of Refinery Project Committee Coordination Committee Mahesh Shivalkar, BJP District Yuva Morcha Vice President Nandkishore Chavan, BJP District General Secretary Satej Nalavde, Chairman of Devache Gothane-Nate-Rajwadi-Solgaon Project Supporter Coordination Committee Dr. Sunil Rane, Vice President Santosh Chavan, Prashant Gangan, Ashish Keer, Vishram Parab etc were present.

Resolution of 125 g.p.t. in support

About 125 gram panchayats, 55 different organizations and local self-government bodies of Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg districts have passed resolutions in support of the project, which is proposed in Rajapur taluka. Also, 1200 out of 1400 families in Dhopeshwar, Barsu, Nate and Rajwadi villages in the area where this project is proposed have been surveyed. In that, everyone has shown positivity about the project.
