Ratnagiri : Today, Wednesday, November 20, the assembly polls will be held. Ratnagiri District Police Force is ready for this. District Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Kulkarni informed that a total of 2 thousand 404 police personnel and 1 thousand 600 home guards have been appointed for their assistance.
A total of 6 companies including 4 units of the Central Reserve Force and 2 units of the State Reserve Police Force have been deployed for security in the wake of the election polls taking place on Wednesday. 123 police officers are going to be working to monitor all these police arrangements. Also, to ensure that the code of conduct is not violated, a total of 78 sectors have been created by the police department in the entire district and patrolling is being done there.
Similarly, 21 SST Teams (Static Surveillance Teams) are working by the Police Department and among them 6 inter-district check posts are conducting thorough inspection of police vehicles. Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Kulkarni also informed that a cyber team will be kept working and CCTV vans will go to various areas of the district to film in order to avoid tension due to offensive posts going viral on social media during the election.
