Voting for assembly elections will be held on November 20. This time mobile phones have been banned in the polling station. Therefore, the voters will not be able to take their mobile phones to the polling station or they will have to keep them outside. A case will be registered against that person if he casts his vote by keeping his mobile phone close to him and the video of it goes viral on social media.
Photography is prohibited at the polling station and electronic devices including mobile phones, smartphones, smart watches, wireless sets are strictly prohibited. If a voter inadvertently brings a mobile phone to vote on the polling day, it will have to be kept at a distance of 100 meters from the polling station. On behalf of the district administration, the candidates and voters have been requested to follow the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. Officers on election duty, employees, candidates, polling agents, counting agents, voters are prohibited from carrying mobile phones, smart watches, electronic devices during any stage of the election process in EVM machines, polling stations, counting centers etc. Also, it is a serious crime to take pictures and videos of election activities and distribute them on social media. A case will be registered against those who do so and strict action will be taken.
