The 63rd Amateur Marathi Drama Competition 2023-24 will be held from November 26 to December 4, 2024 during the preliminary round of the 63rd Amateur Marathi Theater Competition by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the State Government to give a platform to the talents of amateur theater artists. Da. These competitions will be held at Savarkar theater every evening at 7 pm.
9 teams from the district have participated from Ratnagiri center and there will be a theatrical feast for the interested audience. Drama produced by Yelvan – Grandmother’s Boyfriend, Drama produced by Srirang, Ratnagiri on 27th – Morphosis, Drama produced by Sri Laxmipallinath and other Devasthan Pali on 28th – Last Question, Drama produced by Sankalp Kalamanch on 29th – Ruksha, Drama produced on 30th by Sangameshwar Taluka Cultural Kalamanch, Devrukh- Jab We Met, 1st December drama produced by Experimental Theaters Association Ratnagiri – Mahanayak, 2nd drama produced by Collaboration Ratnagiri – Chandni, On the 3rd Kotwade Panchkroshi Alumni Sangh Kotwade, Ratnagiri will present a play-Kadipatta, on the 4th Khalwayan, Ratnagiri a play-Swapnapakshi.
Director of Cultural Affairs Vibhishan Chaware has mentioned that the Amateur State Drama Competition will be held under the guidance of Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary, Cultural Affairs Department of Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Directorate. A total of nine teams from across the district including Ratnagiri city will be participating at the Ratnagiri centre. Director Mr. Chavare has appealed that maximum number of audience should attend all the dramas of the State Theater Competition and encourage the amateur artists.
