Boycott should be withdrawn and voted: Dr. Jasmin
Ratnagiri, 16: 267 Rajapur Assembly Constituency Election Decision Officer Dr. Jasmin held a meeting of the villagers of Kotrewadi Lanja today and appealed to withdraw the boycott of the elections and vote.
Mangesh Ambekar, a villager of Kotrewadi, had given a statement demanding that the planned solid waste project be cancelled. If not, all the villagers would boycott the elections.
Taking cognizance of this statement, Election Decision Officer Dr. Jasmin held this meeting of Lanja Kotrewadi villagers today at 12 noon at Tehsildar Office Lanja.
Dr. Jasmin said, voting is for one’s own right. Boycotting voting is not democratically appropriate. A report will definitely be sent to the Collector to resolve your queries. Your problems will definitely be solved. Calling for boycott is ethically wrong. Action will definitely be taken if voters are deprived by making such wrong appeals and such complaints are received. At the same time, after the election, I will personally inspect the place and submit a report to the District Collector regarding the issues raised by me. It will be our effort that every voter can vote freely and impartially in the elections. At the same time, Mr. The decision of the High Court will be binding on all, so the decision to boycott the polls should be withdrawn and voting should be held, he appealed
Principal Lanja Harshala Rane and Police Inspector were present in the meeting.
