The sixth season of Dapoli Winter Cyclothon begins with the presence of foreign competitors

Dapoli : Cycling has many benefits. Dapoli Cycling Club has organized Dapoli Winter Cyclothon 2024, Season 6 cycle competition on 10th and 17th November 2024 with an aim to promote cycling culture and create interest in cycling. On Sunday 10 November 2024, the sixth edition of the Dapoli Winter Cyclothon began with excitement in the presence of foreign competitors. In this, 120 contestants from Maharashtra, other states, foreign countries in the age group of 8 to 64 participated along with their families.

Dapoli Chikhalgaon Dabhol Panchanadi Gomarai Burondi Ladghar Karde Murud Saldure Asud Dapoli along the 65 km route along the beach everyone cycled enjoying the natural beauty of Konkan. Visited many tourist spots en route, ate Konkani local food, fish.

All the competitors who cycled through the challenging Hornbill Scenic Route with more than 1000 meters of ascent were awarded with medals and certificates. These include 64-year-old S Sangran from Malaysia, 60+-year-old Nitin Mule (Lohgaon), Raju Ooty (Pune), Major Deepak Jambhale (Saswad), Vinayak Vaidya (Khed), Varsha Yewle (Kalyan), Rohit Ambekar and the Wanderers team (Panvel). ), Anand Thakar (Pashan) who finished with tandem cycle, Nilesh Gawkar (Kankavali Sindhudurg) who finished with single gear cycle etc. was given Also, 13-year-old Ayush Shinde, Avadhoot Pate, Varad Kadam, Swaraj Manjare, Saiprasad Varadkar, Ayush Joshi, Pramod Jain became the youngest cyclists to complete 65 km. To participate in this cyclothon, some people came from Mumbai Pune by cycling. Also, David and Jet from England who reached Dapoli by bicycle also narrated their experiences while riding with the competitors.

On the occasion of this cyclothon, all the riders from out of town were happy to see the beauty of Dapoli with their families. Many people stayed for 2 to 6 days and bought local goods, wandered. Dapoli Education Society, Dapoli Homoeopathic Medical College Team, Dapoli Taluka Health Officer and Team, Dapoli Police Team, Rahul Mandlik, Hotel Sagar Sawli etc. got the support for Cyclothon. Many people like Ambarish Gurav, Prashant Palvankar, Ajay More, Rajeshkumar Kadam, Ragini Risbud, Rajendra Nachre etc played an important role in planning this cyclothon competition. On 17th November 2024, there will be Short City Loop Ride and Fan Ride, Dapoli Cycling Club has requested everyone to participate with their families.
