Devrukh Agar’s schedule collapsed..

Sawarde : Due to the reasons of Kartiki Ekadashi and assembly election training, as many as 22 buses from Devrukh Agar left Agar, ST bus schedule of Agar collapsed, many bus trips in rural areas had to be canceled suddenly, it affected commuters, school and college students, they had to face physical and mental hardship. Passengers have to wait for hours for the ST bus, the careless management of the ST administration was getting strong reactions from the passengers.

While Devrukh Agar needs 80 buses, they have 70 buses available. Most of the buses are in a dilapidated condition. Yesterday, 16 buses were released from Agar to Pandharpur on the occasion of Kartik Ekadashi, while six buses were released to transport employees for preventive work, the station said. Buses going to Pandharpur were seen running empty. Why the bus is abandoned if there are no passengers is a puzzle to be solved. This sloppy planning is having an effect on the local schedule of ST, bus trips running late, cancellation of on-time trips have been going on for the last 15 days.

It is causing trouble to the passengers and the administration is desperately advising the passengers to proceed by the available bus. Currently, as the Diwali holiday is over, there is a rush of passengers at the bus station to go back to their hometown. As women and elderly passengers get fifty percent discount on ST tickets in buses, passengers are preferring ST travel. Due to this, the amount of private passenger traffic has decreased. Reluctantly, passengers have to resort to ST. The trains which are available are very crowded. People have to travel vertically. Arguments sometimes arise among passengers. The passengers demanded that the administration, which mutters Bahujan Hitai Bahujan Sukhai, should provide enough buses.

Inadequate seating arrangement at Devrukh station
Devrukh station does not have enough seating for passengers. Some chairs have disappeared. Sangameshwar station construction work is currently closed. Even there the seating arrangement is not enough.

I left Kolhapur at nine in the morning to reach Chiplun. I have to change trains. There is no train to Chiplun even after stopping for an hour in Sangameshwar. A four-hour journey took eight hours, and the mental anguish was different. – Prabhakar Kamble, passenger
