Ratnagiri, : When the four-wheeler vehicle coming from Mumbai to Ratnagiri was checked by the static survey team, it was informed that gold worth Rs.34 lakh 85 thousand 947 was found without receipt, Election Returning Officer Jeevan Desai said. The vehicle Eco was coming from Mumbai to Ratnagiri today. The SST team of Ratnagiri Vidhan Sabha Constituency during inspection at Hatkhamba check post, gold worth Rs 34 lakh 85 thousand 947 was found in this eco vehicle. As there are no documents in this regard, it has been taken into custody by the SST team.
District Election Officer M Devender Singh has ordered all the SST and FST teams of the district to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicles entering the district at various checkpoints. Accordingly, action is being taken by SST, FST teams in all the five assembly constituencies.
