Ratnagiri : Collector M Devender Singh appealed that everyone should work as brand ambassadors to increase voter turnout in the assembly elections.
In Ratnagiri Assembly Constituency, a round was conducted to create awareness among the voters.
District Police Collector Shri. Singh, Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Kulkarni, Additional Collector Shankar Berge showed the green flag. Senior Citizen Avinash Phadke, District Officer Jeevan Desai, Group Development Officer Jayendra Jadhav, Deputy Superintendent of Police Nilesh Mainkar etc were present on this occasion.
The Collector said, there are more women than men in the district. But, their voting is decreasing. So everyone should act as brand ambassador and create voter awareness. Status should be posted on social media. Everyone should try to get maximum voting in their district.
Superintendent of Police Shri. Kulkarni said, everyone should participate in this celebration of democracy. Voting is a sacred act. It should be done by all. Only then will democracy become stronger. Everyone should motivate the citizens of their area to vote. The holy work of election should be done by participating in large numbers.
Initially the signature campaign was started by signing the plaque. After that everyone took oath. The ferry started from this place and reached Bhatye Beach via Jayastambh. It was said there. Coastal marathon team, cycle association, police, officials and staff participated in the ferry.
