Mumbai:Senior leader Sharad Pawar has made an important statement when there is a discussion about who will be the face of the Chief Minister post of Mahavikas Aghadi after the elections. After assembly elections we will all sit together, we will support the party which has more MLAs for the post of Chief Minister.
Sharad Pawar has clarified that this is the role of my party. So we have to see what role the Shiv Sena Thackeray group and the Congress take in the Mahavikas Aghadi.
In an interview, he asked Sharad Pawar who will be the chief minister of Mahavikas Aghadi. Sharad Pawar said, “After the elections, we will all sit together. Ask those whose party has more MLAs to choose their representative and we will support him. This is the stand of my party.”
What will the Thackeray group do?
Uddhav Thackeray had taken the position of announcing the Chief Ministerial face of the Maha Vikas Aghadi since the time when the Assembly elections were announced in the state. Uddhav Thackeray had also said that whoever is the candidate of Mahavikas Aghadi, we will stand by him. The leaders of Shiv Sena had taken the position that Uddhav Thackeray should be announced as the face of the Maha Vikas Aghadi as Chief Minister. However, Congress and NCP did not clarify any position on it at that time.
Congress- Thackeray’s different roles on the post of Chief Minister
After the great success of Congress in the Lok Sabha elections, it was seen that the confidence of the leaders of that party increased. Therefore, it was discussed that some leaders in Congress took the role of Chief Minister who has more MLAs. But if this is done, the Thackeray group explained that there may be a competition to topple the MLAs of the cooperative party in order to get more MLAs elected. However, there was no clear stand from NCP. Therefore, the Mahavikas Aghadi has not announced any formula for the post of Chief Minister nor has it presented the face of the post of Chief Minister.
Whose MLA is more than their Chief Minister
As Mahavikas Aghadi, the leaders had taken the position that all the three parties should face the election together and take a decision after the election regarding the post of Chief Minister. Now Sharad Pawar has announced his party’s position on the post of Chief Minister.
Sharad Pawar said that the Chief Minister of the party whose MLAs are more is the role of his party. Now it has to be seen what position Shiv Sena Thackeray group and Congress will take on this.
