Kankavli: The accused Umakant Munendrakumar Vishwakarma, aged 24 years, was arrested in connection with the possession of 130 grams of ganja-like drug with intent to sell on the service road under the flyover at Kankavli. Kankavali of Sildhara, Pahari Khera, Madhya Pradesh. The First Class Magistrate granted bail in the sum of Rs.15000/-. Suspected accused Adv. Swaroop Narayan Pai, Akshay Chinderkar and Ambarish Gawde acted.
On December 10, the accused was arrested by the Kankavali police on suspicion of selling ganja and 130 grams of ganja-like drug was seized from his possession. Accordingly, a case under section 8(c), 20(b)ii(a) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychoactive Substances Act, 1985 was registered in Kankavali police station.
On Monday, December 11, the police arrested the accused. Kankavli was presented in the court and demanded three days police custody. But May The court rejected the police's demand for police custody and granted judicial custody to the accused.
After hearing the bail application filed by the accused. The court approved and accused the amount of Rs. Released on bail of 15000.
