Today at two o'clock in the morning, sailor Anant Tukaram Tambe (Rest. Rajapur) on Navke started fighting with Tandel and other sailors. As the fight escalated, Tandel Ranjit Dorlekar, the assistant on the job, immediately informed the owner Pednekar over the phone.
This time when Pednekar told you to come to the port immediately from where you are, Tandel Dorlekar brought the boat directly to Devgad port, around 4:30 am when Navak was standing on the anchor, the sailor Anant Tambe again started fighting with his colleagues. Sailor Tambe initially abused and injured himself by hitting his own head on the cabin glass. He then took an iron ice-breaking spear and first struck Tandel Ranjit Baban Dorlekar on the head. Assistant Tandel Ranjit Baban Dorlekar was seriously injured in this.
In such a situation, two others jumped into the water and swam to the beach to save their lives. Two sailors were caught. Among them, Shashikant Tukaram Patyana and Rajesh Raghunath Amberkar (both of Gavdeambari) were also hit on the head. At this time, one of them got a serious injury on his hand and another got a serious injury on his head.
He informed Pednekar about the incident over the phone and arrived at five in the morning. At this time Khalshi Tambe, who was unconscious, set the boat on fire after beating his colleagues. Due to this, a fire broke out on the boat in the harbor and with the help of other fishermen, they desperately tried to extinguish the fire on the boat. However, the boat was engulfed in fire and the boat's cabin suffered a loss of around seven to eight lakhs.
All three serious boat crew members were immediately admitted to Devgad Rural Hospital for treatment. As the condition of the three was critical, they were shifted to Oros for further treatment. Among them, Tandel Dorlekar has been taken to Goa Bamboli due to severe head injuries.
Police inspector Nilakant Bagale and his colleagues went to the spot and conducted panchnama. A forensic team from Oros has arrived in the afternoon and is conducting an investigation on Te Navake.
