Saudi, Australian FMs discuss developments in Gaza

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan received a phone call from his Australian counterpart Penny Wong.

During the phone call, the two sides discussed developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, as well as the need for concerted regional and international efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire.

The efforts made to open safe corridors to deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, were also discussed.

The Saudi and Australian counterparts expressed their deep concern about the humanitarian catastrophe and loss of life in Gaza.

They stressed the need for Israel to adhere to and respect international humanitarian law.
