The basic objective of the Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan implemented by the Government of Maharashtra is to strive towards the sustainable development of the state by focusing on all the five elements of the Pancha Mahabhuta. The objective of this initiative is to make citizens aware of the effects of climate change and environmental issues and to make conscious efforts to improve the environment. Through this campaign, we have ensured to undertake various measures in this regard to solve the problems of climate change in the state. Accordingly, Sawantwadi Municipal Council participated in Sadarhu Abhiyaan and planted trees in Sawantwadi city. The tree trunk was removed. Trees are planted on both sides of the road. Created green stripes. Organized Gomay Ganapati awareness workshop. Eco friendly decoration competitions were organized. In order to celebrate the eco-friendly festival, activities such as banning firecrackers, making sustainable items from waste were done. Cycle rally, marathon, drawing competition, making cycle tracks, rain water harvesting, making absorption pits, desilting wells, solid waste management, competitions were organized for school students on environment friendly subjects. Vermicompost was prepared from wet waste, artificial ponds were created for Ganesha idol immersion, seed balls were prepared and thrown into the mountains. Celebrating an eco-friendly festival, cloth bags using eco-friendly items were given in the Haldi Kunku ceremony. LED street lights were installed at various places in the city. Also no. W. Solar panels were installed on the owned building. In the city at the place of park and no. W. EV charging stations were installed at the office. By doing various such activities, the five elements of earth, fire, air, water and sky were worked on in my Vasundhara campaign.
