A young man was cheated of Rs 2 lakh in Ratnagiri by showing the lure of work from home.

It has been revealed that a young man was cheated of 2 lakh 14 thousand 314 rupees in Ratnagiri by pretending that work from home is giving him job opportunities. It has been said in the complaint filed at the city police station that this amount was cheated by asking for public awareness about hotels, restaurants etc. A case has been registered against three suspects in this case. The name of the cheated youth is Niranjan Sushant Sawant (res. Hindu Colony, Maruti Mandir, native Dapoli). Names of suspected fraudsters are Ishana Patel, Kartika Suresh, Trisha Jain (full name, no address). These three messaged Niranjan on the phone and said that he offered him the opportunity of ‘work from home’. This happened between 18 and 23 September. A complaint was lodged at the city police station. Niranjan received a message from Ishana Patel on his mobile. A company executive is offering a work from home opportunity for you. During this period, Ishana Patel, Kartika Suresh, Trisha Jain lured Niranjan to work from home online. Initially, he kept in touch with Niranjan through WhatsApp and Telegram by paying him for the work. After that, an amount of 2 lakh 14 thousand was extorted from Niranjan in the name of creating awareness about the company’s restaurant and hotel. The complaint states that he was cheated by making him pay the amount from the accounts of Niranjan, his mother and friends
