The famous rangoli artist Rahul Kalambate, who hails from Malgund village in Ratnagiri taluka, recorded the 3D rangoli drawn during Ganeshotsav in the International Book of Records. Kalambate was recently felicitated by the Malgund Gram Panchayat for this. By creating a 3D rangoli of Ganapati idol on white tiles, he set his stamp on the World Records of Excellence record. Subsequently, the world's smallest 3D rangoli was recorded in the Asia Book of Records and the Worldwide Book of Records. Kalambate was felicitated recently by the Malgund Gram Panchayat, taking special note of this glorious global success.
