Remove Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla; Congress demand to Election Commission!

Mumbai: The Congress on Friday demanded the Central Election Commission to remove controversial officials including Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, who helped the ruling party, in order to conduct the assembly elections in the state impartially. They have done things like threatening the leaders of the opposition parties, tapping the phones of the leaders of the opposition parties and cases have also been registered against them. Therefore, Congress State President Nana Patole informed that the party has requested the Election Commission to remove Shukla and the officials who helped the ruling party. State Congress General Secretary Munaf Hakim and Dr. Gajanan Desai’s delegation met the Election Commissioner and demanded the removal of Rashmi Shukla. Even though Shukla’s service has ended, the grand coalition government has given her a two-year extension. They always help the government by taking a favorable stance, such controversial and suspicious officials should not be there during the election period, otherwise the election will not be fair. Patole said that this is the position of the party and the election authorities have promised to take action. Munaf Hakeem also said that the commission has also proposed that the 17C form giving the polling data should be given to the polling agents immediately after the polling.
