Attractive lamp made from waste spare parts at Ratnagiri railway station

Ratnagiri : Keeping cleanliness as the main mantra, Konkan Railway has implemented an initiative to make robots and attractive lamps from waste spare parts at Ratnagiri station.

Konkan Railway has implemented various activities at all railway stations under cleanliness drive. In Ratnagiri station also environmental awareness is being created with cleanliness campaign. Engineer Pritam Pandoorkar and co-workers at Ratnagiri Technical Department (Mechanical) have created a replica of a robot from a useless part of a railway engine while implementing the concept of waste-to-sustainable. Elegant electric lamps are made which are useful for interior decoration in the house.

Information is being given to passengers at Ratnagiri railway station on how to manage waste for environmental balance. Garbage management leaflets and slogans are being distributed among passengers by railway staff.
