Ratnagiri : Sachin Wahalkar, Member of Konkan Railway Passenger Advisory Committee recently met the newly appointed Konkan Railway Regional Manager Shailesh Bapat and congratulated him on his new appointment.
Former corporator Sushant alias Munna Chawande, former corporator Rajesh Todankar, district planning board member and former city president Sachin Karmarkar, BJP city vice president Shekhar Lele were present with him on this occasion.
While discussing on this occasion, Sachin Wahalkar demanded that stray cattle come on the platform, especially a number come and go from the platform through the middle bridge. Also many trains especially Netravati, Matsyagandha, Ratnagiri Diva Passenger and others are stopped at or near Chiplun station, causing permanent delay in their arrival at Ratnagiri. All the delegation demanded immediate improvement in this.
Railway Manager Shailesh Bapat assured that the proposed work of executive lounge on the lines of Chiplun will be implemented soon at Ratnagiri station. There was a positive discussion about preferentially accommodating the project victims in the recruitment process which is now going on for two hundred posts in Konkan Railway. Mr. Bapat also asserted that this is the policy of Konkan Railway.
Sachin Wahalkar and others wished Shailesh Bapat for his next tenure as traveling representative in Ratnagiri and expressed hope that many problems in Ratnagiri would be resolved during his tenure.
