Vishwanath Yashwant Shetye, president of the famous Shree Mahakali Devasthan at Adivare in Rajapur taluka and a newspaper seller, passed away on Monday due to a short illness. His death has spread mourning in Adivare area. A multifaceted personality, Vishwanath Shetye has worked in various positions while contributing in various fields such as social, political, educational. He also held the post of Sarpanch of Wadapeth Gram Panchayat. He was working as the President of Mahakali Devasthan Trust, Director of Adivare High School. He also has a hotel and a newspaper selling business near Shri Mahakali Temple. A few days ago, as his condition deteriorated, he was being treated at a hospital in Kolhapur. That’s how he died on Monday. His body was cremated at Adivare on Tuesday. People from all walks of life were present on this occasion.
