Sindhudurg:Thackeray group MLA Vaibhav Naik responded that the police is issuing a notice to us because we brought to light the information about corruption regarding the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj erected at Rajkot fort in Sindhudurg.
On the police questioning of Naik, former MP Nilesh Rane has criticized. Nilesh Rane has also raised the question that taking the name of Vaibhav Naik in Shivaji Maharaj’s statue disaster is shameful.
An expert committee has submitted a report regarding the collapse of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort in Sindhudurg district. The report given by the expert committee stated that the welding was not done properly or there was corrosion. But the issue remains that the welding was not done properly or was spoiled later. Due to this reason MLA Vaibhav Naik was called by the police for questioning. Nilesh Rane said that the right information will come out from this investigation.
It’s a shame to have to doubt Vaibhav Naik: Nilesh Rane
But the name of Vaibhav Naik is really shameful in this statue accident case. What happened was that Vaibhav Naik had to be suspected. It is a shame that Vaibhav Naik has to be doubted. Former MP Nilesh Rane has criticized Vaibhav Naik that the name of Vaibhav Naik has come up as an MLA in such a big issue.
What did Vaibhav Naik say after the police issued a notice?
It is necessary for the police to provide information regarding the accused in a sensitive matter. Allegations of corruption in the work of our statue from the beginning were then and still are. Police are issuing notices to us because we are exposing information about corruption. Apart from Jaideep Apte and Chetan Patil, no one was questioned. The report clearly mentioned that there was corruption in erecting the statue of Maharaj. If the statue was erected in a wrong way, why was their bill paid? If the report submitted is true, there has been corruption in erecting the statue and action should be taken against the culprits at the earliest. Vaibhav Naik said that if Jaideep Apte’s statement comes out, it will come to light who are the culprits.
