The journey of volunteers from ordinary to extraordinary takes place in NSS – Prof. Manik Babar

Ratnagiri: The initiatives of the National Service Scheme Department have the potential to make a drastic change in students. Asserting that a generation can be created who will work with dedication towards the nation. By Manik Babar. He was speaking at a function of National Service Scheme Department of Abhyankar-Kulkarni Junior College.

He guided the students on ‘Contribution of NSS in Personality Development of Volunteers’ at the National Service Scheme Day programme. On this occasion, Vice Principal Prof. Sunil Gosavi and Supervisor Prof. Vidyadhar Kelkar was present.

Prof. Babar explained the motive behind the establishment of the National Service Scheme Department. Every Swayamsevak should be proud to be among the 35 lakh NSS Swayamsevaks in India. At a young age, we get an opportunity for social service because of the National Service Scheme. Further, according to his guidance, it is necessary to change the basic objectives of the National Service Scheme Department with time and work on the problems of the present time, including mobile addiction, traffic problems, parent-child harmony, religious and communal reconciliation, and said that the volunteers should create public awareness through road plays, rallies and seminars.

On this occasion, prizes of various competitions held on the occasion of National Service Scheme Day were distributed.
Prize-eligible students are as follows- Rangoli competition – 1st place – Hindvi Kir, 2nd place – Pooja Gore, Sukhda Gawkar, 3rd place – Santoshi Damai, Gauri Sawant, Incentive – Harsha Pathare, Vidula Kulkarni and Diksha Tulsankar, Sonali Tulsankar.
Painting Competition – 1st Prize – Samriddhi Kulaye, 2nd Prize – Chandana Khapare, 3rd Prize – Khushi Jadhav, Akhtarth – Riya Surve, Sukhda Gawkar
Eloquent Competition- 1st place – Vidula Kulkarni, 2nd place – Swara Patankar, 3rd place – Pallavi Dongre.
Monologue Acting – 1st place – Saili Kotapkar, 2nd place – Sejal Govilkar, 3rd place – Sharani Suvare.
Handwriting Competition – First Prize – Samriddhi Kulaye, Second Prize – Sania Dalvi, Third Prize – Riddhi Bachre, Incentive – Nishita Pawar, Soham Chavan

Moderated by Vidula Kulkarni. Bhumi Bhagwat introduced the dignitaries. Raj Lad proposed the vote of thanks.
