LONDON โ During the boxing week activities for the “Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition” fight, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois made their final statements at a news conference at the Guildhall in London on Thursday, confirming their full readiness for the anticipated encounter. This event is set to attract an exceptional crowd of 96,000 spectators, marking a historic moment for the Riyadh Season.
In his remarks, Anthony Joshua emphasized the mutual respect he shares with Dubois, noting that boxing is the “sport of nobles.”
He acknowledged that while tensions may rise in the lead-up to the fight, both fighters are prepared for the showdown on Saturday.
Joshua also highlighted his philosophy of caution in preparing for opponents and expressed gratitude to his team for their hard work.
Daniel Dubois, on the other hand, underlined the significance of proving himself in the ring on Saturday.
He stated he is fully prepared to face Joshua, viewing this fight as a crucial opportunity to showcase his skills after months of dedicated preparation.
The press conference was attended by other boxers competing on the card, which is being held in the UK for the first time. Alongside the headline fight between Joshua and Dubois, fans can expect a highly anticipated match between Anthony Cacace and Josh Warrington for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight title, as well as a clash between Joshua Buatsi and Willie Hutchinson for the interim light heavyweight title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO).
Additional bouts include welterweights Tyler Denny and Hamza Shiraz, lightweights Mark Chamberlain and Josh Baddeley, and light welterweights Josh Kelly and Ismail Davis, who steps in for the injured Liam Smith.
