Foreign Minister leads Saudi delegation to UN General Assembly session

RIYADH β€” Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah left on Thursday for New York City to lead the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79).

The Kingdom’s delegation includes Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan and a group of ministers, including Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Saudi Arabia’s climate envoy Adel Al-Jubeir and Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman AlFadley.

The delegation accompanying Prince Faisal bin Farhan also includes Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim.

Additionally, Adviser to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Deputyship Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, and Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Abdulaziz Alwasil are part of the delegation.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan and the Kingdom’s delegation will engage in several official meetings, aiming to enhance multilateral international work and discuss developments on regional and international fronts.

The meetings will also address endeavors to establish global security and peace and joint efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.

On the sidelines of UNGA 79, the Saudi delegation will hold bilateral meetings with representatives of brotherly and friendly countries, in addition to officials from several international organizations participating in this year’s session.
