A 71-year-old man from Kerala was admitted to Lanja Rural Hospital after he was admitted to Lanja Rural Hospital for treatment while traveling from Delhi to Coonoor (Kerala) by Mangala Express. The incident has been registered as accidental death in Lanja police. According to the police, Pavitran Raman Panni (71, Purakkalam, Kerala) and his son Sharad Pavitra Panni (29, Pokalkalam, Kerala) both came from Delhi to their Purakkalam, Coonoor residence in Kerala. He had left by Mangala Express. Mangala Express stopped for crossing at Aadvali in taluk between 11.30 am. At this time Pavitran felt uneasy as his chest started to hurt. His son Sharad Panni admitted Pavitran to Lanja Rural Hospital. However, the medical officers here declared Panni dead before treatment.
