A big gift from the central government to grandparents! Now everyone above 70 years will get Ayushman Bharat insurance cover!!

*. New Delhi: Many major decisions were taken in the Union Cabinet meeting held yesterday (September 11). The biggest decision in this meeting is that the elderly above 70 years have been included in the Ayushman Yojana. * Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav while giving information about this said, this decision will benefit 6 crore senior citizens in 4.5 crore families of the country. The government aims to provide the benefit of free health insurance cover of five lakh rupees to all these senior citizens. Under this scheme, all eligible beneficiaries will be given a new and separate Ayushman card. Ashwini Vaishnav said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi explained in today’s meeting that he is committed to provide protection to senior citizens above 70 years of age under Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana. Senior citizens of families already included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme will now also be included. These seniors will get an additional top-up cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per year. Senior citizens who are currently covered under any other central government health scheme will have an option to switch to Ayushman Bharat Yojana. All senior citizens aged 70 years or above are included in this scheme. The benefit of this scheme will be given to everyone irrespective of their social and economic status. All senior citizens of the country will be eligible to avail the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). Vaishnav explained that these eligible citizens will be given a new and independent Ayushman card. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the e-bus payment security system. Under this, 38,000 electric buses will be operated in 169 cities of the country. This will help reduce pollution, said the Prime Minister. A plan to build 62,500 km of new roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gramsadak Yojana has been approved to connect villages in remote parts of the country. 70,125 crores will be spent for this. Also, ‘Mission Mausam’, which was prepared at a cost of Rs. 200 crores, will now be started. This will give accurate weather information. Mainly farmers will benefit greatly from this.
