*Malvan, D-11:-* Statue contractor Jaideep Apte and construction design consultant Dr. Chetan Patil was produced in the court here on Tuesday afternoon. Apte was remanded in police custody till September 13, while Patil was remanded in judicial custody. Patil is understood to be sent to the district jail for judicial custody. Meanwhile, an application for bail has been filed by Patil in the district court. Both of them were produced in the court here on Tuesday after the custody period was over. As the main suspected accused Jaideep Apte is yet to be interrogated, the government party demanded in the court that seven days of police custody should be given. According to Judge M. R. Devkate sent him to police custody till September 13, while Chetan Patil was sent to judicial custody. Public Prosecutor Adv. Tushar Bhange said, Jaideep Apte, the prime suspect in the Rajkot fort statue collapse case, has not been fully investigated. The police want to investigate if anyone else is involved in this. Arguments were made on issues such as laptops and other materials to be seized. Accepting this argument, the court remanded Jaideep Apte to police custody till September 13. Adv. Bhange explained.
