As 310 Ganapati Specials will run on the Konkan route during Ganeshotsav this year, the administration has been alerted for the safe and comfortable journey of the chakarmanyas. First aid centers will be set up at 8 railway stations on the Konkan route. Health centers will be functioning 24 hours with medical officers and health workers till September 16. Konkan railway administration informed that ambulances will be available at Ratnagiri and Chiplun stations for diagnosis of passenger patients in case of emergency. Lakhs of chakarmanis are entering the village for Ganeshotsav. Compared to last year, the number of Ganapati Special rounds has been increased this year. 310 Ganapati Special trains will be run in coordination with Central, Konkan, Western and Southern Railways. These trains will run on Udhna, Vishwamitri, Surat, Ahmedabad, Mumbai Central, CSMT, Mumbai, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Bandra, Panvel to Ratnagiri, Kudal, Sawantwadi, Madgaon, Suratkal, Thokur and Mangalore routes.
