In the schools of Zilla Parishads and other local self-government bodies in the state, where the number is 20 or less, retired teachers or unemployed youth who have passed D.Ed, B.Ed will now get an opportunity as teachers. The school education department has decided to pay them Rs 15,000 per month on Thursday. Apart from this, they have to take teaching hours like regular teachers. They should be appointed by the primary education officer and the chief executive officer of the Zilla Parishad. The work of that teacher will be evaluated after one year. The contract teacher will be terminated if his performance is not satisfactory. Meanwhile, the teachers of those schools will not be transferred without getting contract teachers. It is also mentioned in the government decision that these contract teachers will be controlled by the center head, group education officer, primary education officer. Allowed to select unemployed candidate on contractual basis* Retired teacher should be up to 70 years of age, retired from a recognized educational institution, no inquiry should be pending* Retired teacher should have taught during the period of service in the group for which he/she is to be recruited* Contractual Retired A teacher should be appointed for three years or should be appointed till the age of 70 years, he should be physically, mentally and health-wise* Candidates who have passed D.Ed, B.Ed can be appointed on contract basis on contractual basis but subject to induction, absorption and regular service in any cadre. Not eligible* Unemployed candidates holding D.Ed, B.Ed should be appointed for one year initially, with an opportunity to extend the tenure thereafter based on merit and merit.
