More than 45 thousand people died in train accidents in last 15 years

Many accidents occur during the Mumbai Suburban train journey due to overcrowding in locals. In it, someone is saved, while someone is dying. Bombay High Court on Wednesday took serious notice of this increasing number of accidents and deaths. The death rate of accidents due to Mumbai Suburban Railway is 38.08 percent. The High Court said that this death rate is the highest in the world and it is a shameful matter. Central Railway and Western Railway informed the Bombay High Court that more than 45 thousand people have died in train accidents in the last 15 years. Yatin Jadhav filed a Public Interest Litigation in the Bombay High Court regarding the death of passengers in the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It was heard before a bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Amit Borkar. In this, the court gave harsh words to the railways. The information of the last 15 years was given to the court by the Railways. Apart from that, the mortality rate of other countries and the mortality rate of Mumbai were compared.
