* Sawantwadi, D-29:-* Railway Board has announced bi-weekly train from Bandra to Madgaon and this train has stopped at Sawantwadi, Sindhudurg and Kankavali stations in Sindhudurg. As this train will stop at Sawantwadi station, the demand of the passenger organization has been successful. Sawantwadi Konkan Railway Passenger Association had made special efforts to start this train. This car of organization
There was a demand that Borivali-Vasai-Savantwadi should be started. But as the railway terminus at Sawantwadi is incomplete, primary maintenance of trains is not done at Sawantwadi station at present. So this train will run till Margaon. Because on the Konkan railway line, primary maintenance is only at Margaon and the railway passenger association is trying to ensure that such a facility is also established at Sawantwadi station in future. It is being followed up. The newly launched car is definitely a must for Konkan. Secretary of the organization Mihir Mathkar said that Shinde is thankful to Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar and Shiv Sena district chief Ashok Dalvi for stopping this train at Sawantwadi station.
