*Sindhudurgnagari, D-29:-* Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare Santosh Chikane has informed that the online application deadline has been extended till September 16 for taking admission in government hostels for backward class boys and girls for 2024-25 under the office of Assistant Commissioner Social Welfare. Under Assistant Commissioner Social Welfare Office of Boys and Girls Govt Dr. For Babasaheb Hostel, Ambedkar Government Hostel for Backward Class Boys, Malvan, Kankavali and Vengurla, and Government Hostel for Backward Class Girls, Malvan, Kankavali, Sawantwadi, Vengurla and Devgad are in 5 places. In these eight government hostels, male and female students have been provided free admission for the academic year 2024-25. Government hostels provide free accommodation and food along with educational materials, living allowance, library, gym and internet Wi-Fi etc. The needy students should register the admission form on the portal https:// hmas.mahait.org and take a printout and submit it to the hostel housekeeper along with the documents. Interested students should contact Government Hostel Housekeeper or Assistant Commissioner Social Welfare Office (02362-228882).
