A shocking incident has come to light in Ratnagiri city this morning where a young woman, who was training as a trainee nurse in a private hospital, was found unconscious by some citizens at Champak Maidan, Udhyamnagar Ratnagiri. It was reported to the police. The police system admitted the said young woman to Ratnagiri General Hospital for immediate treatment. Documents available with her revealed that she belonged to a village in Devrukh area of Sangameshwar taluka. After her treatment started, shocking information came out in her statement. This morning her father made her board an ST bus at Devrukh. Then she got off at Salvi stop Ratnagiri. She sat in a nearby rickshaw and the rickshaw driver gave her water to drink. She told the police that the water was bitter. Ratnagiri District Upper Superintendent of Police Jaishree Gaikwad while giving information said that there is a strong possibility that the said young woman has been tortured and in this regard investigation is going on.
