Sawantwadi, D – 25 :- Shawtar art is considered to be the backbone of Konkan’s cultural scene. “King of the night and a burden on the forehead in the morning” was a proverb used in Konkan in the past. The reason for this is that this folk art had no kingship. But recently the Bharatiya Janata Party has done a great job to get Dasavatar Kale Rajashraya. Guardian Minister Ravindra Chavan and MP Narayanarao Rane have given substantial cooperation in this work many times.
