On the occasion of this day, various sports have been organized by schools and colleges in the district from 26th to 31st August. The format of Sports Week where various activities are organized on the occasion of National Sports Day is as follows – Hockey (Penalty Shootout) on 26th, Tug of War Venue Sindhudurg Sainik School, Amboli. 27th Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Rope Jumping, Venue – Jai Ganesh English Medium School, Malvan. 28th Tennisball Cricket, Futsal, Mini Football (303)- Don Bosco High School, Oros, 29th Lemon Race, Sec Race, Lagori, Langdi, Volleyball, Kho- Kho – Venue Kasarde Secondary School, Ht. Kankavali On 30th Volleyball, Badminton – Venue Kudal High School, Kudal. 31st Walking Race Ethav Rnattahu Tennis Ball Cricket Venue Rani Parvati Devi, High School, Sawantwadi. On behalf of office Sindhudurg, a sports competition for all government officers and employees of district administration headquarters will be organized at District Sports Complex, Sindhudurg on 29th at 9 am. One km in outdoor type. I. Walk, 100m. Running, 50m Running, indoor type of chess, tug of war, push up, fun activities – lemon race, sack race, jump rope, limping etc. will be organized. To participate, District Sports Officer Vidya Shiras has appealed to register at District Sports Officer office, Sindhudurg till 2 pm on August 28.
