Ministry of Communications and IT launches ‘Digital Future Readiness Program’ to boost AI skills

RIYADH β€” The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in partnership with the Human Capacity Development Program (HCDP), has launched the β€œDigital Future Readiness Program,” a strategic initiative aimed at building and enhancing national cadres in the field of generative artificial intelligence.

Following the success of the program’s pilot phase, conducted in collaboration with Noon Education Company, the full-scale launch marks a significant step toward developing 21st-century skills among Saudi nationals, equipping them to compete on a global stage, particularly in the rapidly evolving AI sector.

During the launch, several agreements were signed between Noon Education Company, various educational institutions, and Insan Association to facilitate the preparation and training of students, ensuring the sustainability of digital capacity development across the Kingdom.

The program is set to benefit over 7,000 national cadres, fostering a culture of innovation and promoting the use of AI tools to build a more prosperous digital future.

The launch event was attended by Deputy Minister of Communications Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Future Capabilities and Jobs Ibrahim Al-Nasser, and CEO of the Human Capability Development Program Eng. Anas Al-Mudaifer.

The importance of generative artificial intelligence skills, their application, and their role in developing national digital capabilities were highlighted, alongside discussions on encouraging the use of AI tools to drive innovation and productivity.
