*Sawantwadi, D-23:-* Public works department has prepared a budget of Rs. The cost of cutting these dangerous trees will be borne by the Disaster Management Department. Collector Kishore Tawde has given the responsibility of cutting these dangerous trees to Sawantwadi Municipality. Accordingly, a committee of five members has been formed under the chairmanship of the provincial officials to cut down the trees. The committee consists of District Magistrate as Chairman, Civil Judge as Co-Chairman, Officer of Public Works Department, Tehsildar and – Headmaster. The said trees by the municipality
It should be ascertained about dangerous and necessary action should be taken immediately with the permission of the committee for cutting the branches of dangerous trees. If the branches of the trees are not cut and there is any loss of life or money, the Municipal Corporation will be held responsible. Therefore, Collector Tawde has said that the five-member committee should immediately take action regarding the cutting of trees and branches. The order said
Dangerous rain trees will now be felled. For this, the chief officer has implemented the tender process. The Public Works Department has given a budget of around five lakhs to the municipality for cutting seven-eight rain trees and their branches. This expenditure will be met from the District Disaster Management Fund.
