JEDDAH โ Hussein Al-Qahtani, the official spokesman for the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), emphasized that with the start of the new school year, the center is enhancing its readiness and coordination with the Ministry of Education to address weather phenomena that may affect various regions of Saudi Arabia.
The NCM will provide the ministry with continuous weather updates around the clock.
Al-Qahtani highlighted that all weather-related data are provided quickly and accurately to support effective responses.
He also outlined the center’s preparedness programs aimed at raising awareness among students and education staff about the importance of meteorological information, weather elements, and understanding atmospheric phenomena to ensure their safety.
He called for ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to achieve shared goals and stressed the importance of collaboration between the NCM and the Ministry of Education.
This coordination is essential to ensure that schools are well-prepared to handle any potential weather changes, providing the necessary support and information to teachers and administrators.
