61 cases decided in Lok Adalat in Sawantwadi

Sawantwadi, d.28:-
A total of 1726 cases were filed in the National Lok Adalat held jointly by the Sawantwadi Taluka Vidhi Seva Samiti and the Advocates Association. A total of 61 cases were settled amicably and through compromise, from which 15 lakh 85 thousand 290 rupees were recovered.
Sawantwadi Taluka Legal Services Authority Chairman, Court Civil Judge Smt.J.M. This National Lok Adalat was held in the presence of Mistry. As a member of the panel committee. Anil Kesarkar was present.
1504 cases were pending in the said People’s Court. Out of them 37 cases were settled and an amount of Rs. 3 lakh 690 was recovered. 222 pending cases were kept in court. Among them 24 cases were settled and an amount of 12 lakh 84 thousand 600 rupees was recovered.
Mr. Court to make Lokayalaya a success. A.U.Sheikh-Saha. Superintendent (Esteem), Shri. V. Am. Mir-Saha Superintendent (Finance), Taluka Legal Services Authority Division Senior Clerk Smt.O.B. Addulkar and other court staff, lawyers and police were present.
