Nashik: Leader News Service; Due to the apathy of parents and technical problems, information has come to light that 36 thousand 923 students in the district do not have Aadhar cards. Also, Aadhar cards of 23 thousand 308 students have been invalidated, while the process of Aadhar card of 16 thousand 488 students has come to light that it is incomplete.

Due to students not having Aadhaar card, the general recognition of schools is being broken and there is a possibility that these students will drop out of school due to not having Aadhaar card. Aadhaar card registration is mandatory for students enrolled in government and private aided schools to get mid-day meal, scholarship, free books-uniform in a simple system. 'Aadhaar' is considered for government schemes, educational schemes, recognition of schools, number of seats. Therefore, 30 Aadhaar card machines have been provided by the Education Department in each taluk like Den to create 'Aadhaar' of the students. However, due to the apathy of parents, the Aadhaar Card Scheme is not getting the expected response.

12 lakh 98 thousand 180 students are studying in various government, aided and unaided schools of the district. Of these, 12 lakh 21 thousand 451 students have valid Aadhar card, while 23 thousand 308 students have invalid Aadhar card. The process of Aadhaar card of 16 thousand 488 students could not be completed. Among these, the number of students from self-financed schools is highest. Many primary school students of class 1 or 2 are facing difficulty in preparing their Aadhaar card as their fingerprints are not being registered. Also, due to non-availability of other documents including birth certificate for foreign students, the problem of their Aadhar card arises. After name correction, many students are seeing 'Aadhaar card mismatch'. Meanwhile, considering the number of admitted students and the number of students who have Aadhaar card available, the number of students whose Aadhaar card information does not match is high. The current ratio is one teacher to 30 students on an average.

The work of making Aadhaar cards of students in the district is in the final stage. About 95 percent of the students have Aadhaar cards and each taluk has been given Aadhaar kits. Aadhaar cards of the remaining students will also be made soon. For this, help of educational institutions will be taken.
